Van Dam BV has been awarded a contract for the design, engineering, fabrication and installation supervision of the internal and external fire rated walls, wall penetrations and doors for the East Anglia ONE offshore substation platform for Scottish Power Renewables.
Van Dam will be supplying more than 3000 m2 Generation IV® wall panels (sandwich panels), over 400 penetrations and more than 50 doors for the newly built platform.
Fabrication of the offshore substation will be done by Navantia in Puerto Real, Spain and Iberdola is involved with the engineering and design of the substation. Project phase ONE involves the supply of 102 wind turbines, 1 offshore substation and will generate power for 500.000 households.
Van Dam has been supplying fire rated (blast) walls, doors and windows for more than 10 years in the offshore wind market and over 40 years in the offshore oil & gas market.
