Posted by Van Dam on 25 April 2016

Recently Van Dam has successfully tested and approved our newly developed sandwich panel system (according IMO SOLAS) based on the A60 fire curve and test specifications. The Test subject was successful on both temperature and integrity.

According testing requirements, there was no sign of flames on the “cold-side” (integrity spec)
After 60 minutes the maximum temperature was only 138,5 degrees centigrade (temperature spec, max allowed temperature cold side 180 degrees centigrade IMO specification)
The second insulation specification is, that the test sample cannot exceed an average of 140 degrees centigrade on the cold-side.
