With facilities all over the world and sales offices in Singapore, Norway and Dubai, the people of Van Dam are travelling more and more as we are growing.

But besides our business and our goal for growth, we care for the environment and the world where we and our children live in. Not only do we try to create as little waste as possible during the production process, our products also have a long lifetime (usually about 30 years) and even after 30 years, the materials can still be re-used. Van Dam B.V. has been focusing on the Wind Energy market for a few years now, in which clean energy is generated for current and future generations.

Since we do business all over the world, we have a videoconferencing system in place to reduce the amount of air travel. Face-to-face communication is very important; however, at the outset of a project, videoconferencing is convenient for quickly following up on agreements.

You probably all know that companies can save flying miles which you can spend on free tickets or presents. We don’t do that, we donate the Etihad flying miles to a charity. This year’s charity is the Children’s Health Fund, which is a national charity that provides mobile medical care for homeless children and their families regardless of their ability to pay. The sad reality is that numerous factors – from doctor shortages to lack of transportation – prevent many children in low-income communities from getting the care they need. Without basic health care, these kids often struggle to succeed in school, and in life. Since 1987, the mobile medical clinics have worked hard to change this.
