For the last 2 years Van Dam has been working on the development of the new Generation IV® sandwich wall panel. The Generation IV® wall system is an A60 fire rated sandwich panel system which meets the requirements set out for harsh offshore environments.

Panel dimensions and sizes
Our Generation IV® panel system has a standard thickness of 100 mm and the panels have a working width of 1000 mm. The thickness can be increased in case different project requirements need to be met. The length of the panel is determined based upon the project specifications, but can be fabricated up to a staggering 20 m1 length!
Gas, Weather, Sound & Anti-Corrosion properties
Special saltspray tests -in accordance with the NEN and ISO standards- have been carried out in order to simulate long term exposure in offshore (salt-laden) conditions. Next to that, the panels have been tested for both gas- and weather tightness as per NORSOK standards. The 100 mm standard wall panel has a weight sound reduction index (Rw) of 34 dB.
Material types
The panels are available in several kind of materials; stainless steel / plastisol (internal and external).
Last but not least… Our Generation IV® wall panel system has the advantage that its price is approximately 30% cheaper than the regular wall systems. This, in combination with the huge reduction on installation time, makes the Generation IV® wall panel system the future for offshore applications and enclosures!
