With the sail away of the Ichtys CPF and FPSO, Van Dam has successfully delivered more than 250 fire and blast rated pneumatic operated doors. Over the last few years Van Dam has been working closely with SHI and DSME on the engineering design and supply of the door package for these high specification projects.

The project requirements are extremely comprehensive as the facilities have been designed for 40 years life-expectancy in Australian offshore conditions. Furthermore the doors are fully designed according NORSOK and Australian Standards. Next to this, the doors needed to be operational under an extreme heel andtrim condition which means that the pneumatic systems needed to be extra heavy duty.

The facilities will be moored for the next 40 years of operation in the Ichtys Field, in the Timor Sea about 220 km off the Western Australian Coast.
